Cadrona Home for the Elderly is a residential home facility situated at La
Fillette, St. Andrews. The home was established in 1972, to provide housing for the elderly who have no accommodation, no living relatives and very little means.
The monthly fee for the residents is EC $400.00, but unfortunately some residents are no longer able to pay for their
care, and the home must therefore rely on donations from the
Government, community
organisations, donors and church groups to continue functioning.
The Cadrona home’s present capacity is twenty nine residents, and at present, the building is in a very bad state of disrepair with no recreational or common space for the residents.
The Trust was pleased to make a cash donation to the home.
