Education

73% of Grenadians aged 30 years and over have no formal education certification.

There are three Skills Training Centres, Enrolment is 442. (2006 est.) Three Special Education Centers are available on the island: enrolment is 136. (2006 est.)

17% of central government expenditure is allocated to education.
  Poverty

National survey data reveals 32.1% of all individuals in Grenada have an annual expenditure of less than EC $3,262.

Males account for 49% of poor persons, while females count for the remaining 51%.

33% of all males in the country live below the poverty line and 32% of all females are poor.
  Children / Youth

56% of the poor population of Grenada is less than 25 years old.

51% of the population are living below the poverty line and are less than 20 years old. Children 14 and under make up 41% of the poor as opposed to 28% of the non poor.

The greater proclivity of poor women to have large families is demonstrated by the fact that children 0-14 make up 41% of the poor as opposed to 28% of the non poor.

Youth Dependency Ratio is 71.5%
